Many riders of an off-road capable machine are never able to test out the potential of their rides in a safe and supportive environment. CORE 24 will provide just that opportunity. The personel experience gained during off-road riding should improve your core skills on the road.
A 1.6 kilometre long off-road circuit in the heart of the Forest of Dean provides ample opportunity to navigate around the slow-speed course on your own machine. The course has various humps, inclines and descents (up to 20 degrees), as well as some off camber area to test your confidence off the relative smoothness of the road.
There is no racing element to the days events!
On the outskirts of Coleford town in the Forest of Dean.

Sunday 8th September 2024. 09:00 - 16:00.
The event is being run as a not-for-profit activity, including volunteering marshals, but there are obvious costs to hold such types of activity.
Riders - £30 per day (includes parking)
Spectator m/c parking - £10 per day
Only two-wheeled machines are allowed on site. There is no parking off-site within easy walking distance!
All attendees will be restricted to the off-course areas for their safety. This allows a safe opportunity for riders when riding. Riders will have accepted a pre-ride declaration prior to attending the event to state their machine is road legal, they're familiar/competent to ride same, and they understand the principals of safe off-road riding. ALL riders WILL walk the course prior to riding with a marshal and complete the pre-ride safety briefing.
The track will be prepared for the day to prevent the worst of the ruts and troughs creating areas too significant for novice riders to navigate. However, it is forseeable that the course will degrade over the day.
You may wish to undertake the course without a full tank of fuel to mitigate the overall weight and reduce your centre of gravty. There is a Texaco petrol station about one mile away from the course.
You may wish to ride to the general area and layover to ensure you arrive at your designated window time. A few possible options are:
The date is approaching fast and we’re making preparations. Don’t miss out!

Riders need to be safe to undertake the event as they would any other type of physical endeavour. You should be well rested, sober/drug-free, not suffering any physical injury (e.g. back trouble etc.) that would affect your performance etc.
The machine should be able to pass an annual test (MoT) and be serviceable.
You agree to abide by the instructions given prior to the event and on the day by any marshal. Failure to do so will invalidate your day ticket without recourse for a refund.
All riders must be physically able to handle the machine they present for the duration of their rides.
There is no recovery on-site and riders will need to make suitable provisions for their own machines (in case of serious damage/malfunction), although a bike trailer may be available to get your machine to the road.
The event is held on private land and the management of the event reserve the right to remove any person causing a disturbance or endangering any persons by their acts or omissions.
